Foolish man

"The Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket" written by Jack Finney is a story that is combined with fantastic events and realistic characters. His stories are fascinating and are filled with fighting tales. "Contents of the Dead Man's Pocket shows steps of things that can happen in peoples lives. It shows how a single step can take a man out of his ordinary life and into another dimension. But in this story a man wonders whether to pursue a piece of paper onto a building ledge high above the city streets, and he misses out with being with his wife even though he wanted to be with her. Overall Tom Benache is a nice and silly man.

Tom is considerate man who cares for his wife. For example, he wants to go with her to the movies but he has to much


work to do (6). He loves his wife. In fact, he enjoys her company (5). Tom likes to be with his wife. He is a very busy man who works hard for what he does. He believes that work comes first in a relationship. Moreover, he loves how his wife looks (6). Tom likes how she appears and he likes to describe her. He is happy with what he has and is thankful for it. Tom does love his wife's company and loves to be with her, but he has to much work, so he decides to miss out on going with her. He just stays home, but Tom does not realize that bad is going to happen for his foolish decision.

In the end Tom start to realize that work is not supposed to be the most important thing in his life. Family comes first well his wife comes first in this situation. He
