The two styles of writing that the Romantics and the Enlightenment writers used were very different. The Romantic era took place after the French Revolution and the Enlightenment. The Enlightenment writers used only reason in their writings, which were almost the opposite style of writing that the Romantics used. The Romantics used feelings and imagination in their writings. Many of the Romantic writers have survived today in literature, religion, and history, because of the strong feelings that were expressed in their writings.
