In many of Shakespeare's plays he has created villains, criminals and distractions. These people or things, posses all of the bad characteristics of something that make people cringe. In Othello, Iago is the most appalling villain. He is told to be such a bad villain because he can manipulate people, seeks revenge on anyone who angers him, and does not care for the emotions or lives of others.

Iago is able to manipulate many people throughout the play to complete his plan of revenge on Othello. One of these people that Iago take advantage of is his own wife. He convinces her to help him with his horrible plan of revenge on Othello. Roderigo is
