Romeo and Juliet written by William Shakespeare, uses such tragic themes such as pride, death, pain, and loss. It is pride of the Montague and Capulet's family which leads to the death of Romeo and Juliet. It is the inability to put aside their differences even for true love which brings this wonderful love story to an end.

Pride is expressed by a high opinion of one's own worth or possessions. From the first scene to the last, pride in family motivates the action of Romeo and Juliet. The beginning scene brings a strike of reality as two servants of the Capulet's yells taunting phrases that have repeatedly disrupted the peace. Mercucio and Tybalt did a fierce fight ending in the death of Me
