Hitler

It has been said that one man cannot change history. Alexander the Great, Christopher Columbus, and Abraham Lincoln, all brought out the best and the worst in men. Throughout time, we have put immense power in the hands of few and now their names live on forever. How does the son of an Austrian factory worker come to European power and become responsible for the deaths of as many as 35 million people?

Adolph Hitler was born on April 20, 1889 in a small town called Braunau, Austria. Adolph was a son of a customs official named Alois Hitler, who was married to his third wife Klara Polzl. After his father's death in 1903, his mother was left to take care of Adolph, and their other children herself. Adolph was an average student in school but dropped out when he was sixteen years old partly because of health problems and doing poor in school. While in school Adolph found a great talent inside his self and that was art. So in 1906 Adolph was permitted to visit Vienna, but he was unable to gain admission to a prestigious art school. Around that same time his mother came down with breast cancer and died in 1907. In 1909 while still being broke and living in Vienna while traveling around living in shelters for the homeless opened by Jew

Upon the death of Hindenburg in August 1934, Hitler was the made successor. With an improving economy, Hitler claimed credit and consolidated his position as a dictator, having succeeded in eliminating challenges from other political parties and government institutions. The German industrial machine was built up in preparation for war. By 1937, he was comfortable enough to put his master plan, as outlined in Mein Kampf, into effect. Calling his top military advisers together, where he outlined his plans for world domination. Those who objected to the plan were dismissed.

In 1941, Hitler ignored a non-aggression pact he had signed with the Soviet Union in August 1939. The United States entered the war in December 1941. By 1944, the Allies invaded and occupied Europe at Normandy Beach on the French coast, while bombing was destroying German cities.

Adolph served only nine months of his five-year term. While in prison, he wrote the first volume of Mein Kampf. It was partly an autobiographical book, which also detailed his views on the future of the German people. There were several angry speeches in the book, such as democrats, Communists, and internationalists. But he reserved most of his anger for the Jews, whom he revealed as responsible for all of the problems and evils of the world, particularly democracy, Communism, and internationalism, as well as Germany's defeat in the War. Jews were the German nation's true enemy, he wrote. They had no culture of their own, he stated, but changed existing cultures such as Germany. As such, they were not a race, but an anti-race.

After the successful meeting he drafted a program that consisted of twenty-five points. Of the twenty-five points he wanted to revoke the Versailles Treaty, revoking civil rights for Jews, and expelling those Jews who had immigrated into Germany after the war began. All these points reinforced Hitler's anti-Semitism. Soon after, the treatment of the Jews was a major theme of Hitler's, and the increasing blaming of the Jews for price raises, political instability, unemployment, and the embarrassment in the war, found a willing audience. Hitler tied Jews to internationalism. The name of the party was changed to the National Socialist German Worker's party, and the red flag with the swastika was adopted as the party symbol. A local newspaper, which appealed to anti-Semitism, was on the verge of bankruptcy, and Hitler raised funds to purchase it for the party. The Nazi party began drawing thousands of new members, many of whom were victims of hyperinflation and found comfort in blaming the Jews for this trouble.

In 1932, Hitler ran for President and won the vote, forcing the eventual victor, Paul von Hindenburg, into an extra election. A political deal was made to make Hitler chancellor in exchange for his political support. He was appointed to that office in January 1933.

Several attempts were made on Hitler's life during the war, but none were successful. As the war appeared to be certainly lost and his handpicked lieutenants, seeing the needlessness, challenge his orders, he killed himself on April 30, 1945. His long-term mistress and new bride, Eva Braun, joined him in suicide. By that time, one of his main objectives was achieved with the total destruction of two-thirds of its people meaning the Jews. .

A second volume of Mein Kampf was published in 1927. It included a history of the Nazi party to that time and its program, as well as an introduction on how to gain and keep political power, how to use misinformation and terrorism, and how to build
