To answer that I must describe what, in my view, I feel a romantic heroine is, by saying what qualities she must have, and the type of actions she must perform to be granted the title of heroine.

For the most part, I share the common view of a romantic person, which entails many qualities. Some of these include: being able to easily express their thoughts, feelings and emotions to their loved ones. They know the right time and place to share these words and feelings and can create the right setting and atmosphere. They speak with their own hearts and minds. They love who the person is, not what the person is. Their own view of a person is not changed by what other people think or say, and they would willingly give their lives for, or to help the person they love.

In the popular view, the heroic side of of a romantic heroine, is a women who is involved in events out of the ordinary, that the average person either wouldn't or couldn't do, for fear of what may happen to themselves. But it is not just bravery that defines a heroine. Trustworthiness, puttin

The party at Thornfield do not know Jane, of her character of heroism but still pass judgement on her. They don't think of the real qualities of a person, but make their decision on the grounds that they're rich and she is poor. Jane, when faced with a room full of people mocking her, contains herself wonderfully, proving she is better than the people who put her down, as I will prove later. This, to me, shows one of her many attributes as a heroine, her self composure in situations like that. It would have been easy for Jane to fly off the handle and create a scene, or break down into tears. But the only thing to upset Jane is seeing Rochester dancing with Blanche. Leading us to see her romantic side.

She instinctively reacts to help others before thinking of herself. She blocks everything out of her mind in order to get the job done. Not only this, but nothing is said after she has accomplished this great feat. She neither demands nor expects praise or thanks for what she had done for him. For her it just seemed like the perfectly ordinary thing to do.

A romantic heroine would not love him for his money. And that's what makes her romantic. They would also love him in the same way wheatear he were a penniless beggar or a millionaire. If he ugly or beautiful. If he were famous or a nobody. This is because of her feelings for him. And a true romantic person doesn't let anything from money, age or looks interfere in their feelings for others. The second thing they show us that Jane would, and does, love Mr Rochester in spite of his stature in society, or what people think of him. As she proves this love for him when he is an ugly man, and feels the same love when he is an even uglier cripple. This fact is strengthened several other times in the novel by the way Jane speaks of him...
