Review of Romeo and Juliet

Everybody has heard of the magnificent play of Romeo and Juliet, well now, here is the official review of this play. Speaking of the main characters, they are obviously Romeo and Juliet, the friar, and the nurse. They are the main characters because they played the biggest role in the play.

The play started out with a big bang, and ended similarly. The tragedy began with two families fighting, who exceptionally hate each other. The two malicious families are the Capulets, and the Montagues. The beautiful Juliet is of the Capulets, while Romeo is of the Montagues. There was a prince, who was fed up with these families constantly fighting, and told them that if they keep fighting, they will be hanged. Soon after, the Capulets decided to hold a grand party, with the nobles coming in. Before that, the Prince's kinsmen, Count Paris had asked for the fair Juliet to be his bride, but Capulet refused, for Juliet had not reached the age of fourteen! At the party, Romeo cautiously wandered the wondrous house, and saw Juliet for the first time. When their eyes met, they both knew that there was chemistry between them. Cupid had struck them both with the golden arr


ows of love it seemed. Remember the balcony scene, where Juliet says her famous line-O Romeo, O Romeo, where for art thou Romeo? -It is in this play all right, and you will fall in love with this play at that specific moment. So far, only Romeo, Juliet, and the loyal nurse know about this love. Soon, Romeo and Juliet decided to have a secret marriage, without the consent of their parents, who are blind in knowing this. The friar married them, gave them words of advice.

After the extraordinary small marriage, war broke out once again between the Capulets and Montagues. Tybalt and Mercutio were fighting a battle to the death, which Romeo stopped. However, the conniving Tybalt had other plans, he quickly took advantage of his position, which was under Romeo's arm, and stabbed poor Mercutio. He blamed Benvolio, who was there fighting with them, and Romeo for his death, and quickly died. Romeo, full of anger, fought Tybalt and killed him. However, he realized what he had done and regretted it instantly, for he was married to Juliet, and that would make Tybalt his cousin.
