Whenever I drive alone, a tiny voice buried deep in my mind starts talking to me. It asks me, "What are you going to do if your car breaks down?" Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I don't want to be stuck on a strange, dark, deserted road with a broken down car (which is one of my biggest fears). I don't know much about cars, so in a situation like that, I would be helpless. I would be helpless, but I'm not. I own a cell phone. My cell phone can be annoying and expensive, but the convenience and extra features make it worthwhile. Sometimes, owning a cell phone is annoying. If I forget to charge the battery, the cell phone might as well be a paperweight. Several times, when I've driven in less populated areas, my phone informs me of the fact that I am in a "no service area". Since I carry my phone with me at all times, anyone who has my phone number can contact me at (practically) anytime, which is not always a good thing.
