Alone

A detailed Summary of Alone

Whenever I drive alone, a tiny voice buried deep in my mind starts talking to me. It asks me, "What are you going to do if your car breaks down?" Maybe I'm just paranoid, but I don't want to be stuck on a strange, dark, deserted road with a broken down car (which is one of my biggest fears). I don't know much about cars, so in a situation like that, I would be helpless. I would be helpless, but I'm not. I own a cell phone. My cell phone can be annoying and expensive, but the convenience and extra features make it worthwhile.

When I was a little girl, cell phones didn't even really exist. There were cell phones, but they were large and incredibly expensive. Technology advanced from that bulky old phone, and modern cell phones emerged. When the technology improved, cell phones became more affordable. Modern cell phones make life easier. Now, almost everyone has a cell phone. I could live without my phone, but I would miss the security it gives me.

My phone has lots of extra features. When I am shopping, I can use the calculator on my phone to add up my purchases before I get to the register. This feature is great for me, because I am horrible at math. If I want to know what time it is, I can just glance at my phone, which has a clock on t
