The Lion In Winter

Any director directing any movie has fundamental goals that they want to achieve. One of these fundamental goals include keeping with the accuracy of the times in which is to be tentatively depicted in the movie. In The Lion in Winter directed by Anthony Harvey, it is a movie that shows King Henry II¯s deliberations over his successor in England around the 12th century. As a whole, the movie was as accurate as could be analyzed in its semantics. This movie is also accurate in its historical sense. The events that follow throughout the movie suggest a type of explanation or theorized elucidation that support what happened factually in King Henry II¯s reign.

Eleanor of Aquitaine, who is played by Katharine Hepburn wore gowns, elaborate headwear (such as crowns), many headdresses, and frequently wore a turban over her head. Such were what the aristocratic or wealthy women during the 12th century wore, of which the queen would obviously be dressed in.
