A possible future for humanity in a cruel, unjust world was presented in the novel The Chrysalids writtin by John Wyndham. In this future world there is a society called Waknuk, and it should be condemned. It should be condemned because the people that it consists of are arrogant, narrow-minded, and Paranoid. This society should be condemned because it produces arrogance. The people of this society, which sprung up from the aftermath of what appears to have been a large scaled nuclear war, believe that they are the the true image of God. They believe that every person that does not fit the exact, supposed definition of what a man should look like is ungodly; thus, being the spawn of the Devil. These traits will only lead to the society's downfall through a serious event which could have a great impact on other societies and generations to come; thus, such a society should be condemned.
