There are two main characters in the movie. One of them is Vivian Ward and the other is Edward Lewis. Vivian is in her mid-twenties, and she is tall and slim. She has long wavy red hair and brown eyes. Before she met Edward, she wore gaudy clothes, but afterwards, her typical clothing was elegant. Edward is much older than Vivian. He is in his mid-forties, and he is also tall. He has gray hair and brown eyes. He always wears expensive suits.

Emotionally, Vivian is a really strong character. She is tough all the time in the movie. This is expressed especially when some the sales people were mean to her. She took out the anger on a hotel man. She said, "Oh, man, if you are calling the cops, yeah, call the cops. That's great. Tell them I said hi."

Edward also changed. The life with Vivian was so fresh for him. He did and heard new things a lot. He had a date with her in a park and walked barefoot on the grass like a boy. Then, they talked about their history and found that they had something in common. And then, they gradually fell in love to each other.

The previous day of the leaving, Edward offered Vivian that he will put her up in a great condominium and see her again. However, she refused his offer. Instead, she told him her ideal that she want the fairy tale when she was a little girl.

He is also clever. We can know this from his job. He didn't sell a whole company. He broke up it up into pieces, and he sold that off. It was more worth than the whole company.

And the last day, she finally was rid of him. He went to her small apartment. However, the day became a super day soon after, because the fairy tale was realized. Edward came to her apartment like the knight of the fairy tale wearing a white tuxedo and asked that what happened after the knight climbed up the tower and rescued her. The answer was that she rescued him right back. Thus the story ended with happiness.
