The Super Bowl

Imagine 137 million people all paying attention to the same thing. This is the spectacle that now surrounds a game of football, and that game is known as the Super Bowl. John Weibusch an NFL analyst once wrote "Fact is, this is the Super Bowl. And there is nothing like it -- nothing in American culture. It's not just the game I am talking about, it's the Event. The World Series comes closest. But compared to the Super Bowl, the World Series is Star Search alongside a great Broadway musical".

In January the National Football League showcases their title game between the AFC and NFC champions, but what was once a pure display of the competitive nature of the sport has blossomed into a marketing metropolis.
