There are four characters of transcendentalism. They are individuality, intuition, nature, and oversoul. Emerson believed that society corrupted people - who are good. If one is an individual and doesn't follow the rest of society, they will not be corrupted. This is a good characteristic for people to have even in this day and age. Though media promotes a certain style or attitude, different people take it in different ways. It is said to be good if one doesn't follow the rest of the cr
