Hiroshima

My first impression was that "Hiroshima" was going to be a boring book that will contain a lot of historic facts but when I started reading it I thought it was interesting how the author managed this theme. The book its about Hiroshima bomb and the life's of 6 people that lived there when the bomb fell and then Hersey follows their life's several years later. The first chapter introduces the 6 characters, the things they were doing when the atomic bomb fell and emphasis in how from a normal day things and life's changed in one moment and from that instant you get involved with all of them till the end of the book.

"Hiroshima" has a humanistic view and some things mentioned there remained in me: Through all the book it gets very clear how loyal and helpful japanese people were in that moment. A very clear example of this is father Kleinsorge, he was one of those characters that showed us his humanism because of his actions of trying to help the wounded ones. He obtains the citizenship and adopts the name of Takakura which shows that he really got involved with Japan and the people and that he felt like one of them in his h

eart, and he was in my opinion. From the atomic bomb he was not very hurt but after some years he suffered debilitating effects and a nurse takes care of him. Here we can see how this nurse was loyal to him, I think it was like a reward because father Kleinsorge cared for the injured ones and now he got paid back with the nurse attitude.

Almost all of the 6 characters demonstrated how Japanese culture works, the majority of them have feelings for their people and try to help them in any way. We can also see that they love their nation and how they were loyal to their Emperor, for example I remember that some girls had a tragic dead, they were around 13 years old and a wall fell on them and since they couldn't set free one of them started singing the hymn and the others followed her till they all died. I think all this anecdotes are very touching and give us an idea of the Japanese ideas and how the atomic bomb attack affected them.

In conclusion I think that "Hiroshima" its very interesting because of the facts that u can find in it. I did liked it but there was one moment that I felt that it was tiring, mainly because it
