The Role of the Bible
In today's society everybody talks about the violence, profanity, immodesty, illicit sex, sex education, and rebellion that is interrupting the public schools of America. In my opinion all of these are harmful to all children, but to me the absence of the bible in children's education is the most harmful. I have found that most of the parents in today's society are too busy to care what their children do. They seem too be to busy working or having fun to take time to keep track of where they are or who they are with. And children believe that since their parents are too busy to spend time with them that they should turn to their peers for help. And that only makes things worse. There is so much evil in the world that can corrupt our children and if we are not there for them then they will turn to all that evil for help. The educational system intends to challenge the mind without challenging the spirit, soul, and heart. The philosophy of modern day education is humanism. Humanism is the teaching that man is good and has all the resources within himself to make himself successful in life. Those who have read the bible knows it teaches differently. You must know what you believe and be consistent in it. Be consistent in the way you discipline, in the way you provide, and the way you live your own life. Avoid negative comments to your children, such as "you can't do anything right" or "your as stupid as they come." If a home is going to survive, parents must take the initiative. Parents should remember that it is their responsibility is to teach as well as provide and protect. In my opinion children need obedience and rules in life. They want their parents to set limits. Drugs, tobacco use, alcohol, illicit sex, homosexual toleration, evolution, humanism, and worst of all the lack of biblical education are the reasons we need some kind of Christian education in our society. I have come to believe that the more we have to do with our children the less we have to worry about them turning the wrong way. Children feel as if they need guidance from their peers because we as parents don't spend enough time with them. One of the saddest things to watch out for in our society is parent- child relationships. Children are being taught by the media and their peers that their parents don't understand them and don't know what is best for their life. How a child responds to the authority of his or her parent will determine how they will respond to authority the rest of their life. That is why it is so important that parents take time
