Freedom to Brethe
A detailed Summary of Freedom to Brethe
Running here, running there, doing this, doing that, arguing, listening, talking, working, what about me? Like millions of people I have a busy life. It's hard to find time in a day just to breathe, collect my thoughts, or just relax when I'm always spending time on everything else. Sometimes it's impossible to find a few moments to spare. I have a place I like to go, a place no one knows about but me, that helps me relax.
First, my place is down by a river right off the highway. There is a place I drive into, park my car and sit by the river. It smells of flowers and dirty river; however, the smell is the least of my worries after a long day. I can see cars passing by through the trees. I can see birds, flowers, and trees. The trees, recently changing color, have red, green, yellow, and orange leaves floating off them as the wind blows. The flowers, which were yellow and red earlier this year, are all wilting and dying off for the cold winter to come. I see two blue jays flying around my area quite often. The river is darkened by pollution, filled with fish to, unknowingly, be caught by the fishermen. I hear the sounds of the river current rustling through the air as I sit on the

Humans need a place that's private and special because everyday life is so full of other people and activities, one just needs to push everything aside for some alone time to keep themselves sane. We would be living in a world where everyone eventually went crazy, if no one had any time to be alone. For most people, getting away from children or other loved one's is impossible without having a place, all your own, to regain our thoughts, our serenity. For the people who think they don't need to seek out a special place, they probably have a place, without realizing it. Maybe it's in their car, on the way home from work. Maybe it's in the shower at home. Maybe it's in your office at work. A special place doesn't have to be away, like mine, it could be joined into your everyday activities.
In conclusion, I have shared my special place without physically bringing you there, which I would never do. My place is very special to me and if I didn't have it I might have gone crazy, or lost the people close to me on the days when I really just couldn't handle anything or anyone else without capturing my serenity first. We are living in a very complex world that needs strong people to be sane, to handle any surprises that may come up.
When I am at this place I feel free. Free to do, say, or think anything I want. I let go of the problems I had that day or that week. I go to my spot on the river because it's mine, it's quite and it's a hideout that helps me to escape my problems for a while
