A detailed Summary of Ancient Rome


The government was based in dictation. Only the people elected by something like a court was allowed to be a dictator. Generally generals or important people in the army was elected.

One of the most grateful generals and dictators of all times was Julius Caesar, in about the 1st century b.c.

Another great general was Octavius, who acquired the tittle of "Augustus" that means dictator of everything or ruler of everything.

These were the protectors of all the cities of Rome. The Army had so many functions for the Roman Empire like: defend the cities, conquer new land, etc. To recognize each position in the army they dressed in different ways. They had defense and attack positions for battles. You could see some of them in the book "Ancient Rome by Mike Corbishley"

As a matter of fact the Romans travel. They traveled almost all the European continent, and part of Africa and Asia. If you see a map of ancient Rome you can see the territory that embraced the Roman Empire from the city of
