Gulliver

Jonathan Swift has used many of the literary elements in Gulliver's Travels to show us the problem he had with the nature of human beings. Jonathan Swift has shown the relationship between Protestants and Catholics during his time, by showing what Lemuel Gulliver had observed in the strange, exotic worlds that he traveled to. Through Gulliver's travels of these exotic worlds, he has seen that reaching utopia is impossible for a utopia can't please everyone. The exotic world of the Houyhnhnms is the closest to a utopia in the eyes of Gulliver. Unlike humans, Houyhynhynms are the most rational of creatures. Very much like philosophers, the Houyhynhynm society represented Plato's Republ
