Happiness as an End
There are many theories about happiness. Some argue that material possessions and money bring joy. Others argue that popularity can make a person more or less qualify to be happy. Any way you look at it, people think that the degree of happiness that an individual experiences is established by the outside world. Other opinions are centered on the idea that happiness is not a physical attribute but instead a state of mind.
