Bible Fact or Fiction?
Did the bible story Noah's Ark really happen? Many Believers say yes but there are skeptics. First of all who was Noah? Noah was a man chosen by God to build the ark and put two of every animal in the ark. God chose Noah because at this time the rest of the people on earth were lying, cheating scoundrels who distanced themselves from God. When God flooded the earth everyone and everything that couldn't survive under water for 150 days died. First skeptics say there is no way a flood this large could happen on earth it must have only been only a local flood. This is incorrect because God told Noah 120 yrs in advance. He preached to the people to stop their ways but they didn't. If the flood was only local all the people had to do was move to another area. Remember, this was a long time ago the land and mountains weren't as high as they are now. There is a lot of proof that there was a great flood in Noah's time. The Colorado Rockies contains fossil snails and other seabed animals at 11,000 feet high. There are ancient shore lines of Lake Bonneville that prove that is was once 1,000 feet higher than it is today. There once was a Lake Laotian in Nevada that covered 8,400 square miles. de Fuego, from the Atlas Mountains to the Andes, From the Himalayas to the Alps, show massive catastrophes of the past. The rock cries out "A huge flood did this. "The White Cliffs of Pover" in England consist of solid seashells. Such a massive deposit could not have been contributed over a vast period of time, for the action of tides and waves gradually tumbles, breaks, polishes, and eventually disintegrates the shells turning them into sand. A skeptic named Custance claimed that at elevations above Mt. Everest would "render all but a few creatures insensible in a very few moments for lack of oxygen." He opined that Noah and his sons would have been terribly taxed to climb up and down three flights of stairs at such a high altitude! He forgot that that the atmosphere is measured from sea level, and that, as the level of the sea rose, so the pressure remained constant! All of this Evidence proves it couldn't There are many historical proofs that the bible is fact. One story that has been proven historically is Noah's Ark and the Great flood. Interestingly enough there is a flood tradition among dozens of primitive societies. Eight specific cultures talk about it. Greek traditions talk about it, Hindus history talks about it, its written about in ancient Chinese history, The islanders of Plynesia have a tradition of a flood in wich eight people were saved alive, various American tribes have recorded it, Ancient druids believe there was a great flood, and finally in Mexico, there is a flood tradition in which one man, his wife and children, were saved when a flood overwhelmed the earth. Another historical bible story is Joseph the "King of the Jews" was a prince in Egypt. This has been proven because he has been written about being "the pharohs grand vizier" by Egyptian scholar
