When I was a child computer weren't all that important. I don't remember having to double space on line paper. Writing papers were easier to me than typing a 12-font paper and when your whole 2-paragraph paper that you wrote has just been reduced to one paragraph. Typing isn't that bad though, considering the fact that I can type faster than I can write or at least now but when that computer was first placed into my house I had no clue what the home keys were not only that but I thought the keys were in alphabetical order, that was until I pressed, what I thought was an "A" and it was really a "Q". Now that I look at it typing is way easier than writing, instead of wearing down your eraser to type you can just use the backspace key and change the word without having your paper become messy.

The disadvantage of the Internet is the information that you get and the over information that you get. You can go to any search engine, type in a whole phrase and get over 30,000 responses, some which have nothing to do with what you asked. It takes up a lot of valuable time just to look up one subject. Another disadvantage is the explicit part of the Internet. Children who are on the computer have easy access to anything they want to. Not all parents have cyber patrol on their computers and I'm not going to blame parents for what kids' get into when it comes to the computer. Web sites don't care who view the page, just as long as they get paid for it. The warning signs may say "Do Not Enter if you're under the age of 18" that's a nice warning to have but do kids under the age of 18 actually follow through? No. When I was a kid we didn't have this big of a worry about pornography, we knew it was around but we didn't have as much easy access to it as we do now. Another disadvantage of the Internet is the chatting factor. You can't just chat with anyone. If you do talk to someone they could lie about their age, where their from, their sex, anything and yo
