1st Corinthians
In this paper I will discuss one of paul's letters. The letter that I preform exegsis on will be the 1st letter to the Corinthians. I chose this letter because it seemed more interesting then Pual's other letters. I also feel that this letter is one of the more important letters that Paul wrote. On this note I will begin exegsis. Pauls letter was written to deal with problems of christian life and faith. At this time period Corinth was a great cosmopolitan Greek city. Paul wrote because the church there was haveing divisions and immorality issues. Paul wrote this letter to try to bring the church back to Christ. I feel that this letter is a very important one. This letter talks of Gods everlasting love. With this it discusses How it is always poreing out on to his people. Also it discusses how God is always trying to give us gifts and grace. The love part of this shows up clearly in Chapter 13. Paul talks of his love for all others. Also I think that this express how God shares his love with all of us. Paul says that with out love his words would mean nothing. Also in this chapter Paul tells us that the gifts God gives to us are not going to last for eve
2Discourse on Unity and vanity, and also discourse on One body, Many parts Another important chapter is Chapter 2. Chapter two is important because it talks of wisdom. Paul does not talk of any old wisdom though. Paul talks of wisdom that comes from God and the Holy Spirit. This is the greatest wisdom anyone can get. Then Paul gives advise to Virgins and Widows. Paul tells them that you should stay the way you are. Though if you cannot achive this you should change to be happer. r, but his love will. Also this shows us how love is the only thing that will last for all eternity. Another great chapter is Chapter 12. These are very important because without them we would be lost and could not folow or understand God. This means that we could defantly not live with out these gifts. These gifts are what give us our religious stranght. They also help us to spread our faith.
