Military Draft: To Go or Not to Go
A detailed Summary of Military Draft: To Go or Not to Go
If they do indeed bring back the dreaded military draft me being me I try my best not to have to fight because the military draft just violates my rights as an American citizen. And why send someone over if they do not want fight? Question they have to answer, what makes them think I will fight my hardest for something I don't know or believe in. What makes them think I weather not just sit in a jail cell safe than be somewhere on the otherside of the world somewhere I probably never even heard of. What is the purpose of me fighting if I don't live to see what changes are done after it is all said and done to me that is a waste of a good life which could be my life and it will be gone for no good reason at all. If it was up to me tell whoever the president is tell him and the person his fighting against let them duke it out not me and someone I never seen, heard or knew about ,cause most likely they didn't do nothing to me. Plus there is probably of millions of people in the U.S who want to be heros and die for there country, me I'm just trying to lay low and fight in what I believe not something else. I have to right to say no which they are doing if they do bring back that draft of death.

Volunteer armies are an excellent check on statist governments declaring arbitrary and unnecessary wars -- if there is no conscription, the statists will have no army for their power-lust causes. The first U.S. draft occurred during the Civil War; they're after, the only major conflict Washington fought without compulsory military service was the Spanish American War. In1940 Congress approved the first peacetime draft, and conscription continued, with one brief break, until 1973. At that time President Richard Nixon inaugurated the All-Volunteer Force (AVF), in part to help dissipate social conflict over the Vietnam War. There is no doubt that the volunteer system has succeeded in peacetime. The military has had no trouble in filling its ranks with top-quality people--young men and woman who are, in fact, better educated and brighter than their civilian counterparts. A Government is an organization in a specific geographic location, which is dominant in physical force. Government is necessary to en
