Romantic Comedies

Most women are hopeless romantics, it's just that some do a much better job at hiding it than others. I'm sure that everyone has known someone in their lifetime who complains constantly about their significant other and simply wishes to find the perfect guy/girl. But what makes the perfect guy/girl? Why do people think that these type of relationships actually exist? The reason is simply that we have this perfect nuclear family image from the 50's drilled into everyone's conscience fuels; the same kind of cliche that we see in romantic comedies.

A romantic comedy is a dramatic story about a romance told with a light humorous touch, in which the audience probably knows the outcome before they ever sit down to watch the movie. Some people may refer to them as sappy, predictable, or chick flicks, but even though most guys won't admit it, they too enjoy watching these great films every once in a while. Some films that you see in the theater may leave you scared out of your wits, or so confused that you really aren't even sure what just happened, but with a romantic comedy, you are guaranteed to leave the theater feeling enlightened, and happy.

A lot of people watch these films to be lead through a life that they could never live normally. The fairy tale story that awes them away from reality. Perhaps that is why some women will never be truly happy. They see these perfect relationships on television and actually believe that this is how a love between two people should be, when really the
