There is organized prayer that must be led by a teacher or authority figure and quiet time that should be set-aside for children to reflect, pray, or meditate. Some people think that an organized prayer would help with violence, drug abuse, and social problems that are in our schools today. Having a minute of silent time every day came about after September 11th, to give children a chance to reflect either on our nation, or other things.
