Dante's Inferno is a portrayal of Hell, step by step, circle by circle. Dante's Inferno starts out as a dark night in the woods when Dante was 35 years old. The next day is Good Friday. Dante finds himself lost, and is approached by a leopard, a lion, and a she-wolf, slowing his progress up the hill he traveling. Dante then meets Virgil, a noble pagan to serve as his guide through Inferno to help him. Beatrice, loved by Dante, was the one who requested Virgil to help Dante.
