Independence as Nations, comparing hati, america, and france

Although Haiti, America, and France begin their independence around the same time era, their ways of receiving their independence was very much identical. Social classes have a huge impact on the status of a country. The way that these social classes influenced these countries were the direct cause of their independence. The people and the ideas of those people would cause a spark of events leading to an independent country.

Well, if independence is the question then it is necessary to focus on what had been happening in the colonial period in the Americas, Haiti, and France. With the development of the European colonies, there were also new systems of government. Although the colonies belonged to the European countries, the leaders who actually governed the region were located in the New World, far away from Europe. As such, little by little the leaders of colonial America realized that they had different interests from those who established the rules for the region. In the case of Latin America, there was also the issue of different social groups: the peninsulares (those born in Spain or Portugal) traditionally had maintained political control in the region, but the growth of the criollo (those

On this date in 1804, Haiti emerged as the first independent black-led republic in the modern world. At the end of the Haitian Revolution, was one of the most successful slave rebellions in history. To Haiti's people, taking the pressure off them of slavery and French colonial rule, the revolutionaries of Haiti inspired people of African descent around the world, particularly those who remained in slavery. This shows how Haiti influenced the ideas of others globally. Haiti is the only country that differs in the way of going about their independence. But, all of the countries, Haiti, the Americas, and France, fought for their independence through out their history either physically or verbally.

(I saw this quote and it goes perfectly said with the Haitian Revolution. This quote has no author but the significance to the reading and to the discussion in class as well as in the essay is well stated with this quote. I see that there is significance and relative ness. When it says that "you have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves," I feel that it is saying that it is better to die with honor and the pride of doing something good for your country. Again, this quote ties wonderfully with the Haitian island independence movement and should be incorporated in the essay.)

"I swear by the God of my fathers...I swear by my honor, and I swear by my homeland, that I will not let my arm rest, nor give repose to my soul, until all of the chains that oppress us by the will of the Spanish power have been broken."

France is a country with a violent and dramatic history spanning many wars, especially the memorable and exciting French Revolution. France as well as the Americas had much dramatic history such as the conflict between the colonies in the New World, not to mention the Spanish American war, the American Revolution, and the wars over our independence from Britain. The French Revol
