Songs Do Have Meanings

Songs are an integral part of everyday life. Most people wake up to them, or listen to them on the way to work or even at work. However, most people do not look deeper into the song in order to find the real meaning. Most of the meanings that people come up with are so far off from the true meaning. If one looks for three phrases or lyrics that stand out in a song, and does not try to manipulate the words to make them mean something that they are not actually stating, then one would have a better chance of finding the true meaning of the song.

A song that one could interpret very easily would be by The Dave Matthews Band entitled "So Right." When a person reads the lyrics the first four lines stand out. The first four lines are:


The other lyric that supports the other two shows how people should not stop for anything, and drives home the point that people need to "go hard." That lyric is, "Roll on and run the red lights." Again, this is reiterating the point that people need to give it their all. Even if life throws up a stop sign, one needs to just go through it and run the red light to reach their full potential, and be able to "go hard" all of the time. There may be consequences and risks, but to achieve what one really wants and for someone to live life to the fullest that is a risk that a person is going to have to take.
