UCONN Admission Essay
My immediate goal is to gain admission to UCONN University . I know that I will be able to receive a top-notch education that will allow me to fulfill my potential as a contributing member of society. What is most impressive to me though, is that University of Connecticut is nationally recognized as a leader in dispute resolution education in the United States. That is no small factor in my desire to attend University of Connecticut. As a young boy, highschool student, I dreamed of becoming a electronic engineer. I read the story of scientist Thomas Edison again and again. Of course, harbouring good aspiration and making it become true are two different things. My interest in applied science dates back to my school days. During high school, I was fascinated with electronic gadgets. Soon thereafter, designing and building basic circuits started as a hobby. Along the way, however,I realized that the problem-solving aspect of making electronic gadgets was what I enjoyed the most. Engineering was a natural career choice after this. Until 1988, there hadn 't been computer science department in Vietnamese universities. Although I did not major in computer science as an undergraduate . I have developed good analytical, quantitative and practical skills. My education base is broad because of my exploration of several different disciplines during my undergraduate years, including mechanical engineering, electronic engineering.Not being equiped modern instruments, devices, but universities in Vietnam provided students with theory base very well. I also experienced the course as theory Physics, Math for Physics, applied Physics. It give me a good advantage in science sdudy. ( HochiMinh city ). The class I took is for engineer who have not majored in computer science yet . There , during 2 years as a undergraduate student , I kept my study to computer science. I was interested in refreshing, verifying computer knowledge which I studied myself via book, practice. I didn 't complete my study there. Because I was sponsored to come United States in 2000.
