Life is Beautiful

"Life is Beautiful", is one of my favorite movies of all time. Of course to me, it is so meaningful since so many of my ancestors died in the holocaust, which was the main point of the movie. Though I cannot relate even one bit to what did happen in the movie can defiantly explain how this movie is so dramatic and maybe even a little comedic.

A drama, or tragedy is said to be when there is peace at the beginning of a movie of play and it ends in war, or sadness. Since this movie follows that exact format then you could say it is a drama. But to me there are so many more reasons why this movie was so dramatic. For example in the movie on one random day the Guidos's whole family is taken onto a train with thousands of other Jews to a concentration camp where Guidos's wife is separated from her entire family not knowing if they are alive or dead. Everyday she has that same constant worry, that her son could just die and she would never see him again. So as you could see even though Guidos was so comedic, it was him that made the hole movie so dramatic. It was his happy spirit that made his seem so tragic at the same time. It was him who made the movie so touching and meaningful.

It was so dramatic because you could see every ones pain and suffering no matter how hard they tried to cover it up. It was a drama because in the worst part of the family's life old memories of wonderful, beautiful times were brought back to them, but they knew that those memories would never happen again. For example old memories were brought back all the times Guidos would go out of his way to let his wife know he was okay. Like when he was serving for the Germans and he turned the music speaker out to the Concentration Camp so his wife could her the same music that they danced their first dance to. Like the time he spoke in the speaker calling his wife Princess like he always did when they first met. All those things made this movie a drama.

But it was Guidos that lead this whole movie. He somehow let the movie be dramatic with his funny voice and character th
