An Ending Unresolved (Of Mice and Men)

If ever there was a novel that depicted the true meaning of friendship and true emotional strain of loss then it would be "Of Mice and Men," a literary marvel created by the inner most thoughts of John Steinbeck. Steinbeck, author of "The Grapes of Wrath," is thought of to be one of the most talented authors in literary history. Therefore, it is without doubt that his work is to be criticized and questioned, such is the case with the ending in "Of Mice and Men." Lennie, wasn't a complete lost cause, he was smart in his own way. He was a strong hard worker that only wanted happiness; in the end he received eternal bliss. He was much like a child in many ways; he had to be told over and over again what not to do and would forget much of the important information George told him to remember. He was easily amused and would light up when George would tell the story of how "their ranch" is going to be. Lennie was not
