Sports Figures of the 1920's

Sports have been around for ages, starting back in ancient times, and sports and sports figures still have a big impact today. Some of the greatest sports figures, that shaped the sports of today, came from the 1920's. As sports began gaining popularity in the 1920's, some famous names came into the spotlight. While most people know Ruth for his hitting, he was also one of the finest left-handed pitchers in the major leagues during his time. While on the Boston Red Sox, in the 1916 and 1918 World Series, he set a since-broken record of 29 2/3 consecutive scoreless innings. What Ruth was really known for was hitting, and when Ruth was sold form the Boston Red Sox to the New Y
