Women Study
A detailed Summary of Women Study
Human behavior leads to traditions. Traditional beliefs evolve into stereotypical thinking such as: "Male is placed above female, thin above fat, economically privileged above poor, and so forth." Come to probe the first part of the statement "male is placed above female"; is this really a stereotype that originated from core human behaviors? In the book "Women's Voice", the authors, Susan Shaw and Janet Lee indicate that women are living under men due to different cultural tradition and expectations to become the submissive role player in a family or society. I can relate Shaw and Lee's point of view to myself because I see those traits do exist quite commonly in my own culture. In today's society, women should be treated equally as men.
To understand how the women's roles are played, we must define what women are. When I was young, it seems much easier to define what a girl/woman is. As long as I act cute and play with my dolls, I can do the girl's role perfectly! However, as I matured, the role gets more complicated because I have learned more about my society and what's being accepted. I also formed my own opinions of myself as in how I want to present myself to play a role that will be more advantageous to myself. For in

I admit there are many advantages in the men's personality, like aggressive, strong, good leading ability, etc... Some people may say, women have many disadvantages in their personality, like emotional, passive, etc... Normally, women usually have more patients; we may look at things more carefully, and may care about people's feeling more, etc... In today's society, there are still many inequalities in women's life. People often look at women's disadvantages, but the advantages. For instance, people assume women are not able to do some things and they should deal with some easy stuff instead. However, today's women have the same education with men and they have the same ability as men. The society should give more chances to women. I can not guarantee women can do all kinds of things perfectly, just as no one can guarantee men can do all things perfectly. However, men have more chances to try and now; women should also have the same amount of chances to try. As a woman, I think women should be more aggressive and try to find more chances and prove that we also can do and give the same result as men do. We should use our own experience to prove we can do the job men do, and to make the people, the society admits woman should not be treated inequality. In today's society, women should be treated equally as men.
In the working environment, there are also a lot of inequalities between male and female workers. For instance, normally only male can work at the manager level because male believe women cannot make an accurate decision due to their unstable emotional feelings. Like she just gets herself a new boyfriend or just broke up with her boyfriend, and so forth. So, mo
