Euthanasia

Does a person have the right to die when he or she chooses to do so? Is euthanasia really °good death±(Singer, 10)? Legalizing euthanasia has become a hot issue not only to the doctors but also to people who are concerned about it. Recently, Holland became the first country to legalize euthanasia. (Shaprio). I agree that people have freedom to do anything they want to do, but death is something that shouldn¯t be controlled by a human¯s power. Thus, the U.S. government should not legalize euthanasia.

In addition, the study on people who attempt suicide shows that only 4 percent of people who are rescued from attempted suicides actually had gone on to kill themselves. On the other hand, people who got counseling and treatment went on and got better lives. But, if they had been °assisted± in their attempts they would never had that chance (Rosen).
