Marc Antony uses his skills as a speechmaker to change the crowd's opinion about the conspirators. He convinces the crowd to have the same opinion as himself by firstly demolishing Brutus' charge of ambition. He does so not by saying that the conspirators were wrong to kill Caesar, but by offering two reasons why Caesar was not ambitious." He hath brought many captives home to Rome"; this quote tells the crowd that Caesar does not work for himself he works for all of Rome.
