The paper will outline the religious tradition of Christianity and examine its ideas of a higher power. This discussion will examine: development and basic tenets of Christianity, definition of ultimate power, the function, importance and definition of faith, the salvation of man, the status of non-believers, God as creator, redeemer and judge. The development of the Christian church was formed after the death of Jesus by his followers who wished to continue his work (Ludwig, 2001).
