How to Make A Strawberry Cake

Need a great desert for a party? A vanilla cake with pink icing, cut strawberries on top with drizzled glaze down the sides should work just fine.

The first thing is to gather all materials needed. Check your cupboard for a vanilla cake mix, to get the best rise use Betty Crocker. However, an off brand will do the job just fine. The following items are a list of material and ingredients you will need: an 8X10 cake pan, a large and a small bowl, a spoon, a knife, a butter knife, measuring cups, a blender, eggs, vegetable oil, one pack of fresh strawberries, strawberry glaze, and light pink icing. For the icing I suggest strawberry icing by Betty Crocker. After gathering all ingredients place them one the counter.

Now that all the ingredients are out, set the oven for 350 degrees. Now take the 8X10 cake pan and put 1/2 teaspoon of vegetable oil in the pan. Make sure to get oil o


Now get the strawberries out of the refrigerator. Pull off all the green leaves and throw out all the rotten ones. After taking the leaves off the strawberries place them in the sink and wash them. Now let the berries dry on a paper towel for a few minutes. Then, start cutting them in slices on a cutting board if available. Be sure to check clock to keep an accurate time of how long the cake has been in the oven. After the strawberries are sliced place them in the other bowl, cover them with plastic wrap, and put them in the refrigerator, so the will stay cool. Now take a toothpick and poke in the middle of the cake to test and see if it is done. Finally grab a potholder and put the cake out. Do not forget to turn off the oven.
