I feel excessive pride in being a citizen of the United States is extremely prevalent amongst the majority of the population. In times of war, depression, or massive tragedy it is perfectly logical for the commonfolk to "gel" or have a heightened sense of unity. This, is perfectly healthy and imperative to the success and health of a developing nation. Blindness to history, that is the foothold of my argument and state of awe towards American Pride. Also the way we have treated our citizens.
The utter repugnance of the impurities in this society, cripples and sickens me. Like the feeling induced by a dirge to be played at an unborn child's funeral, we march not brainlessly but soullessly to our demise. After doing the necessary research and insite to write this paper I must admit my standpoint has changed. A state of enlightenment has swept over me. I believe now that our nation today is a strong one and has developed well with the change of time.
