Colonial Letter

I write you again to let you know how far our society has come since I last talked to you. Our business has really come along. Kingston is a big fur-trading town. We've gotten big in the business. I've started to take part in it. It's sort of become a sport. Most of my hunting friends have wives and families, its fun to be around a family; I wish sometime I could meet someone to settle with. Then we could have kids and continue the Hanson family. That would be magnificent to do.

Today there's more houses than I can count. Its very impressive to see our society grow so dramatically. I can't wait to see it ten years from now, it'll be a major city. The new world is going to over power the Netherlands soon. It is very exciting.

My home is very humble, its nice an small not fancy. I like it the way it is. I've met many friends in the new world. My hunting partners are all very friendly and show me where the good spots are. They help out a lot. Almost every night now after a long days work we go to one of our houses for supper. We have a great time.
