Growing up in such a boring town, Pamlico County the size of a fingernail is not every child's dream. One very special family event occurs every November when the leaves have dressed themselves in yellow, orange and red a miracle comes to town! Such a place filled with every wonder, known as the County Fair. This is a dramatic entertaining theme packed with tons of people, rich food, friendly animals, roaring rides, and tricky games that scream everyone's name as they walk by.

Eagerly rushing to the tall gates, everyone is stamped a beautiful logo on their left hand that looks like alive waving fireworks filled with colors of red blue and green sparkles for paying a ten-dollar entry fee. First, is all the neon lights glittering like stars, dancing in circles, and some hanging freely from colorful monster machines operating as rides. Adventuring on running feet the aroma of fresh buttermilk funnel cakes drift by your nose. Everyone loves to feel the soft dough melt gracefully on their tongues. Not to mention the fluffy clouds of blue pink and purple cotton candy. Children always beg for that special lightweight bag full of crystal sugar. Fairs are famous for their freshly squeezed lemonade. Tasting the cool splash of lemonade is always exciting because you have the chance to visually see the half-squeezed lemon soaking in the cup, like taking a quenching bath.
