How does Shakespeare prepare us for what happens in the rest of the play

This play is the most idolised love story of all time; it symbolised William Shakespeare's brilliance as a play writer. Throughout time no love story could, or will ever reach the status of 'Romeo and Juliet.' When someone talks about love stories, 'Romeo and Juliet' is the first thing people think of. This play holds all the mysteries of all the emotions of life; this is my theory on why this play is such a wonder. The way Shakespeare brings every word and every feeling of each character even when reading. When given the privilege of reading this masterpiece you expect happy endings and long life to the lovers that is the most common idea of a love story, a happy ever after finish. The first part of the play introduces Gregory and Sampson to us. These two young men are servants of the by playing around with his words. This sets the audience up for a lot of adventures involving arguments and maybe fight scenes, between these two houses.

When Benvolio talks to Montague he convinces us that he is trustworthy. This is because he tells Lady Montague and Sir Montague what happened with no extra line or any over exaggerations. In the event there after, Benvolio proves himself to be trustworthy so, as the audience, we grow to rely on him to help his kinsmen.

When Benvolio appears, his language seems to create an anti-climax. He draws his sword and tells the servants "Put up your swords you know not what you do." Benvolios entry was to stop the action for a short while, then a totally different character enters, this makes the climax higher than it was before. This causes a contrast in characters and excites the audience by giving them so many different things to view at once. Tybalt is a fiery young Capulet who thrives on violence. Benvolio, on the other hand is a kind hearted trust worthy member of the house of Montague Tybalt and Benvolio clash and are contrasting characters in every way.
