Beginning my search for internet sites with information on Norwegian music, I started at the yahoo.com search engine. I entered “Music of Norway” into the search engine; and my computer loaded a rather large list of internet sites relating to my field of inquiry. By reading descriptions of the internet sites, I narrowed my selection down to three web sites that correspond with the topic I have chosen. The titles of the web sites are: Norwegian Music Information Centre, The Hardanger Fiddle Association of America, and Folknorth Directory of Nordic Traditional and Contemporary Folk Music and Dance. The Norwegian Music Information Centre, is found at http://www.mic.no/. This web site is very informative for anyone who has interest in traditional Nordic music and / or customs.
