Our gender personalities are sets of personal responses which are originally created in each of us by our up bringing. Society has the most influence in determining what it is to be masculine and feminine. I would define a woman as an individual who is the provider, nurturer and has the ability and knowledge to complete any tasks as any other. Everyday life has exposed the differences between the breadwinner and the homemaker. The known household powers once included social governance, family upbringing and breadwinning. Through the late 1800's women were only praised for family up bringing, which artificially categorizes them as being what we at labeled today, homemaker.

Gender biological divides every human being into physically a male or a female. Characteristics describe what is to be feminine and masculine. In time Europeans moved in and well adjusted to their society. They praised the women by giving them honor for their family companionship. Eventually the Europeans intrusion began to formulate and change some of their traditional roles and duties.

Even history had set characteristics for a male and a female, but apperantely "women couldn't possible be in charge of everything." Gender roles overall help realize duties we have as an individuals and completing these duties are the main goal. It can take a man or a woman or even both to complete them, but both man and woman can divide the necessities that each individual can do. Being open-minded and learning can benefit both individuals. You learn what it take to be a man, and likewise for women. If we are taught from the beginning how to be a certain way in society, then that's the only way we know.
