From Helen Burns to Edward Rochester, and Gateshead to Thornfield, Jane Eyre has met many people and traveled many places. Many changes took place in her life. Those changes are what developed her into the woman she became at the end of the novel.

At a young age Jane's aunt, Sarah Reed promises to raise the orphan up at the death bed of her husband, she fails to love Jane as her own daughter, and needless to say that Jane is treated with brutality. Here cousins being young and impulsive, Jane never gives in to her aunt's unjust punishments. She bravely stands up for what she believes is right. At
