Advertisement experts have studied to learn and understand how humans respond to stimuli. Advertisers are then able to use the great variety of marketing tools available in today's world to target the population they are trying to market. Most often popular, successful, celebrities are used to bring appeal to a product. This is how cor


porate America homogenizes the youth of America. When looking through a magazine the advertisers seek to grab your attention by using famous people to advertise their products. Turn on any television, or pick up any magazine. It is immediately apparent that corporate America sells by using celebrity, youth and beauty. For example the Pepsi Company uses Britney Spears as a sex symbol to entice the public to go out and buy a Pepsi product. Subconsciously we are attracted to beautiful people and get a positive feeling when we see the product. The advertisers hope that the next time a consumer has a choice to buy a soft drink they choose theirs. Not realizing that they choose that particular product because of an advertisement they had seen.
