Radical feminist theory holds the beliefs that men attempt to control woman's bodies. They believe that men have constructed female sexuality to serve as a man's wants, needs, and interests; totally eradicating a woman's own wants, needs and interests. Sure a woman makes her own choices, but this system of control is embedded far deeper than a woman's choice. It

Some radical feminists would say that giving up a woman's right to childbirth would further oppress women by giving men the option of totally eliminating the need for a woman in their life in order to aid reproduction. Women may then be treated simply as sex object's or to fill the need for men's sexual gratification. The role of wife can easily be removed and men's use for women could be altogether eliminated. Radical feminist Andrea Dworkin believed that men value women as aiding them in reproduction. She proposed two models of women in a state of patriarchy: the brothel model and the farming model. In short, the brothel model suggests that men get women under their control through various means and then use them up and waste them. In men's view, these women are replaceable. The farming model suggests that man and woman form a more intimate bond and that it is in man's best interest not to use up or waste this woman as she is a permanent investment in aiding reproduction. Women's relationships with men can be reduced to that of the brothel model if their role in reproduction is to be forfeited. It arises the question of whether the power of reproduction in the hands of men will further reduce the woman's worth? A society of women who are viewed as mere domestics or prostitutes may result from such an action.

In conclusion, radical feminists will never come to one distinct opinion of whether their power of reproduction is the very source of women's oppression. It is a hot debate including radical views. As a woman, I would never give up my right to reproduction in place of technological reproduction. Only in a perfect world of radical feminists could such an action be achieved. But were there such a perfect world, oppression of any class society would also be eliminated. Thus, there would be no room to even debate this issue.

Still, other radical feminists would critique such a theory by refusing to accept that such an outcome is possible. Instead, they believe that replacing biological reproduction for technological reproduction will actually give men more power and that equality will never be gained from such elaborate measures. They further argue that reproduction is women's advantage over men and the only power over men that women have.
