Approximately six months ago I noticed a lump on my left hand. At first I was nervous because I’ve never had anything like this on my body before. But after talking with some friends and relatives, the general consensus was that I had some sort of cyst. I decided to take no action against the cyst, but instead wait it out and see if it went away on its own. Sure enough, a few weeks later the growth subsided and my hand looked like my hand was returning to normal. Jump ahead three months, and the lump has returned to my hand. It is now bigger than it has ever been and if I bump it on anything there is a sharp pain that shoots up my arm. I decide that it would be a good time to visit my doctor and get a professional opinion. After scheduling an appointment and waiting a couple weeks, I get in to see Dr. Kim at the Burnsville Clinic. Dr. Kim is an orthopedist who has years of experience practicing medicine. He examines my hand and explains to me my options.
