Edgar Allen Poe is one of the most famous writers of our time. He has a way of writing that is unlike any other author. His stories are truly unique in each and every way. The main topics that repeat in all of Poe's stories are irony, horror, and sadness. It is very interesting how one mad could write so may sad, off the wall stories, but if you took a look at his life you may then understand. Edgar lives a very hard life both his parents were killed as well as his very young life. Poe may have based his stories on experiences that had happened to him. Many of them mirror his life. In his unique writing style he often includes many noises of sounds. These little details of sounds add great effect to the story, providing another dement ion to the mood of the story.

Although many may have thought of Poe as crazy, through it all he had definitely prospered as a great writer. It is very simple to write a story that is dry and boring, one that doesn't appeal to the reader. Any person can write a story, the literary devises he uses and they tone of his stories is what separates him from any ordinary writer. Poe is talented in his writing through the way it appeals to all the readers' senses in turn better connecting them with the story. He may have been a crazy man, but through all his craziness he came out with many inviting and alluring. By adding sounds to his stories he keeps the reader into the terror and suspense to reach the climax.
