Aids in schools

In Canada there is much controversy on the topic of whether or not AIDS victims should be allowed to attend the same schools as people not inffected by the AIDS virus. I think Aids victims should be allowed because they are people.

First of all, people with AIDS should have the same rights as anybody else in Canada because they are people as well. Keeping AIDS victims away from public schools causes them to not get the same education and opportunities as other people their age. Aids victims need a good education just like any other person so they can move on in life and get a job so they can make as much of a normal life as possible for themselves. Keeping aids victims away from public schools also restricts them from being in large groups of people their own age so they can make more friends. Public schools a


Obviously, because of the discrimination they face everyday of their lives, AIDS victims have low self esteem and low self respect. People with AIDS get rejected by groups of friends when they learn that he/she has AIDS. AIDS victims get turned away from some jobs when the employers are aware that they have AIDS. Some people with AIDS choose to keep their disease a secret so they do not have to face the discrimination and prejudice that would be shown towards them everyday of their lives. If people with AIDS kept their disease a secret, they would get the same general respect that everyone else receives and would get treated as a normal human being, not a person with AIDS.
