I love shooting basketball half-court shots. I may sound like I am boasting, and I may soundstrange for talking about this skill, but I am very good at shooting half-courters. It is one hundred percent true; I love shooting unusual shots while playing basketball. Well, the first time that I heard about it, my nerves rushed with adrenaline. One chance at a half-court shot for a total of five hundred dollars, during half-time of the annual Senior/Alumni Basketball Game. Now that is a lot of money for a high school student, almost enough money to cry over. Anyway, I heard about this chance as I was eating my tacos and nachos at the varsity football team lunch table. Andre Walters, our free safety, first introduced me to this contest to win five hundred dollars. Not only did I become ecstatic because of the contest, but also in anticipation of the day of the game.
